Privacy Policy
Gloria works by reading things you point her at and acting on your behalf. This page says exactly what that means for your data. "We" means StreamIO AI, which makes AskGloria.
The short version
- What you ask, and what Gloria reads to answer it, is sent to our server and to Anthropic's Claude to produce the answer.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.
- Phone data — contacts, calendar, photos, health, location — is read only when a request needs it, and only with the iOS permission you grant.
- Anything that changes something waits for your approval. Gloria never pays for anything.
- You can delete your data from the app at any time.
1. Information we collect
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google through our sign-in provider, Kinde. We receive your name, email address and profile picture. Your email address identifies your data on our server.
What you ask, and what Gloria finds
Your messages, Gloria's answers, and the steps she took (which tools she used and with what inputs). Text from documents you share with her is extracted and kept so she can search it later; the original file is deleted once it has been read.
From your phone — only when a request needs it
- Contacts: a contact you ask about — name, and up to three phone numbers and email addresses.
- Calendar and Reminders: event titles, times, calendar names and locations (not attendees); reminders.
- Photos and videos: when you ask her to find photos, your library is searched on your phone (Apple's Vision), you review the matches, and only the ones you keep are shared. An image she needs to look at is resized and sent to answer your question.
- Health: the readings a request needs (for example sleep, steps, heart rate, workouts). The only thing she ever writes is a mood check-in, and only after you approve it.
- Location: one position and place name when you ask where you are or about things nearby. Arrival alerts you set use iOS background location, but the places and the alerts stay on your phone and are never sent to us.
- Microphone and camera: recordings are transcribed on your phone. On a live video call, your camera and microphone stream to our video provider (below).
- Device: basics such as language, time zone, app version and model, when a request needs them.
Other things you set up
Scheduled checks and their answers, things you ask her to remember, your morning-brief time, a push notification token, your own API keys if you add them (stored encrypted), and anything you report from an answer.
2. How we use it
Only to run AskGloria for you: to answer your requests, run the checks you schedule, send you their results, keep the things you asked her to keep, prevent abuse, and fix problems. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it.
3. Who we share it with
Only the services that make AskGloria work, and only what each needs:
| Anthropic | Your messages and what Gloria reads to answer them (including images and document text), to produce the answer. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data is not used to train its models. |
|---|---|
| Tavus / Daily | Live video calls: your camera and microphone during the call, and the context for the conversation. |
| ElevenLabs | The text of an answer, when you ask to hear it in the natural voice. |
| Only if you connect it: we read your Google Calendar and save files you approve to a Drive folder. We can see only files Gloria creates. | |
| Kinde | Sign-in. |
| Expo | Delivering notifications, including the text of a scheduled check's answer. |
| Web services | When she searches or reads the web: your search terms to the search engine, and requests to the sites she reads. Flight searches send only places, dates and the number of travellers to Duffel. |
| Apple | Weather, maps and song recognition use Apple's services. |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
4. Where it's kept, and security
Our server runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit, stored on an encrypted volume, and your API keys and Google access are encrypted individually. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we keep and who can reach it.
5. How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data until you delete it. From the app you can remove individual things Gloria keeps, cancel scheduled checks, disconnect Google, or delete everything:
- Profile › Delete account permanently deletes your conversations — including the copies kept by the AI software on our server — kept documents, notes and remembered facts, scheduled checks and their results, keys, connected Google access, and usage records.
- Working records of scheduled checks, and of conversations that can no longer be continued, are deleted automatically within a day.
- Our server logs, which can include your email address, are kept for running and securing the service. Email privacy@streamio.ai to have entries about you removed.
- Your sign-in with Kinde, and data held by the providers above under their own policies, are separate. We'll help you with requests to them.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing privacy@streamio.ai. Depending on where you live (for example in California or the EU), you may have further rights, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
7. Cookies and tracking
AskGloria has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and this website sets no cookies. When Gloria reads a web page for you, she does it in a private browser on your phone that keeps no cookies.
8. Children
AskGloria is not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app before material changes take effect.
